Quick Steps

1

Choose MiniMax H3

Open Text to Video or Image to Video and select MiniMax H3 in the model menu. Start from a prompt alone, or upload one image to use as the first frame.

2

Pick a resolution

Use 480P for cheap drafts, 768P (the default) for most finished clips, and 2K when you need a 2560 × 1440 file. 2K is available on paid plans.

3

Set the length and the aspect ratio

Choose 5, 6, 8, 10, 12 or 15 seconds and a 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1 frame. A 6-second 768P clip costs 15 credits; the generator shows the exact cost before you click Generate.

4

Write one shot and generate

Describe one subject, one action, the setting, the camera and the light. Every MiniMax H3 clip comes with audio, so there is no sound setting to change.

How to Use MiniMax H3 on Kensa

MiniMax H3 is MiniMax's video model, launched on July 31, 2026. On Kensa it makes 5- to 15-second clips at 480P, 768P or 2K, in 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1, from a text prompt or from one starting image, and every clip comes with audio. It costs 1.5 credits per second at 480P, 2.5 at 768P and 4 at 2K, so a 6-second 768P clip is 15 credits. This guide covers which resolution to pick, what the settings do and what each clip costs.

480P, 768P or 2K?

The resolution decides the price, the output size and how long you wait. 480P and 768P are generated by MiniMax-H3-Max; 2K is generated by MiniMax-H3, which takes longer (see How long it takes below).

  • 480P is for drafts: testing a prompt, a camera move or a starting image before you spend more.
  • 768P is the default and suits most social and web clips.
  • 2K is for the final version when you need a large file, for example to crop, reframe or show on a big screen. Because it runs on a different model than 480P and 768P, a 2K render of the same prompt is a new generation, not an upscale of your draft.

There is no 1080p tier for MiniMax H3: the step after 768P is 2K.

What every clip costs

Credits are charged per second and rounded up to a whole credit. These are the lengths the generator offers:

Length480P768P2K (paid plans)
5 s81320
6 s91524
8 s122032
10 s152540
12 s183048
15 s233860

New accounts created with Google sign-in get 15 free credits, valid for 72 hours: enough for one 6-second 768P clip or one 10-second 480P clip. On the monthly plans a credit costs between $0.028 (Ultimate) and $0.035 (Basic), so a 6-second 768P clip works out to about $0.42 to $0.53. If a generation fails, its credits go back to your balance.

How MiniMax H3 compares on price

The same clip lengths on Veo 3.1 and the two Seedance models on Kensa, in credits. Veo 3.1 only makes 8-second clips.

Seedance 1.5 Pro · 1080p6480
Seedance 2.0 · 480p6277
Seedance 2.0 · 720p136170

Price is only part of the choice. Veo 3.1 accepts a start and an end frame, and Seedance 2.0 accepts up to 3 reference images; MiniMax H3 on Kensa takes one starting image.

How long it takes

In our test generations, the model finished 480P and 768P clips in about 25 seconds and a 5-second 2K clip in about 3 minutes. Kensa then saves the video to your library, and busy periods can be slower. If you want to see several ideas quickly, draft at 480P or 768P and save 2K for the final version.

Clip length and aspect ratio

  • Length: 5 seconds holds one clear action. Use 10 to 15 seconds for a slower camera move or a scene that needs time to breathe, and remember that the price grows with every second.
  • Aspect ratio: 9:16 for vertical social video, 16:9 for landscape and 1:1 for square feeds. The output sizes in the resolution table are for 16:9.

Image-to-video tips

Upload one image (JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB) and MiniMax H3 uses it as the first frame of the clip.

  1. Crop the image first. When you start from an image, the clip follows the shape of the image rather than the aspect ratio setting, so crop it to 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1 before uploading.
  2. Describe the motion, not the picture. The model can already see the image. Write what should move and how ("the steam rises, the camera slowly pushes in").
  3. Start from a clean, sharp image. A clear subject and good light give the model something solid to animate.
  4. One image only. End frames and extra reference images aren't available for MiniMax H3 on Kensa; use Veo 3.1 or Seedance 2.0 when you need them.

Prompt tips

Write one shot, in this order: subject, action, setting, camera, light and style.

A barista pours latte art into a white cup on a wooden counter, steam rising. Slow push-in, shallow depth of field, warm morning light through the window, documentary style.

  • One action per clip. Split a sequence of events into separate clips.
  • Name the camera move. "Slow push-in", "tracking shot" or "static close-up" changes the result more than adjectives like "cinematic".
  • Describe the light and the time of day instead of "beautiful".
  • Audio is always generated. Every MiniMax H3 clip comes with sound, and there is no audio setting to change for this model. If you only need the picture, mute or replace the track in your editor.
  • Change one thing per attempt at 480P, then render the version you like at 768P or 2K.

Prompts and uploaded images are checked by content moderation before generation; requests that break the usage policy are blocked.
