Which Model Should I Use?

Choosing the right AI video model depends on your specific needs. Here is a quick guide to help you decide:

Audio and Frame Control up to 15s: Seedance 2.0New

Free native audio generation (no extra credits), first+last frame control, reference images, 6 aspect ratios, and clips from 4 to 15 seconds at a lower price per second than Seedance 2.5. Best for social media content that needs sound and precise narrative control.

Longest Clips and 1080P: Seedance 2.5New

ByteDance's Seedance 2.5, on Kensa since October 15, 2026. Clips of 4 to 30 seconds with native audio at 480P, 720P or 1080P (1080P on paid plans), from text, one or two images or reference images. 10.3 credits/second at 480P, 22.1 at 720P and 55.3 at 1080P, so a 4-second 480P clip is 42 credits.

Fast Drafts and 2K Output: MiniMax H3New

MiniMax's newest model, launched on July 31, 2026. Text or image to video with audio in every clip, 5 to 15 seconds. 480P and 768P take about 25 seconds; 2K (2560×1440) is on paid plans. 1.5 credits/second at 480P, 2.5 at 768P and 4 at 2K, so a 6-second 768P clip is 15 credits.

Lowest Price per Clip: Grok Image Video

A flat 5 to 15 credits per clip: 6 or 10 seconds at 480p or 720p, from text or an image. Best for quick experiments and high-volume social content where you want many variations.

Flat Price with Audio: Veo 3.1

13 credits for every 8-second clip, audio included. Text, image, first & last frame and reference-image modes make it a good default for testing prompts, short hooks and product reveals.

Best Motion: Kling 3

Realistic motion and physics from a single image (Kling 3 is image-to-video only on Kensa), at 720p or 1080p. Best for realistic human motion, product demos and social media content that needs natural movement.

Budget 1080p: Seedance 1.5 Pro

1080p at 8 credits/second, or from 2 credits/second at 480p, with free audio and 6 aspect ratios including ultrawide 21:9. Best for high-res output on a budget.

Every model supports image-to-video, and all except Kling 3 also support text-to-video. New accounts that sign up with Google get free credits for the lower-cost models (no credit card required); a Seedance 2.0 or Seedance 2.5 clip costs more than the free credits. Mix and match models across projects to find the best fit for each use case.
