About Seedance 2.5
Seedance 2.5 is a video generation model from ByteDance. Its upstream API opened on August 7, 2026, and it has been on Kensa since October 15, 2026. On Kensa you can start from a text prompt (text to video), from one image used as the first frame or two images used as the first and last frame (image to video), or from reference images (reference to video). In image to video the clip follows the aspect ratio of your image.
Compared with Seedance 2.0 on Kensa, two things change: length and resolution. Seedance 2.5 makes clips of 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 20 or 30 seconds, against 4 to 15 seconds on Seedance 2.0, and it adds a 1080P tier on paid plans, where Seedance 2.0 stops at 720P. Both generate native audio at no extra credit cost. We don't rank their visual quality: run the same prompt on both.
Pricing is per second, rounded up per clip: 10.3 credits per second at 480P, 22.1 at 720P and 55.3 at 1080P. A 4-second 480P clip costs 42 credits, a 10-second 720P clip 221 and a 10-second 1080P clip 553. In our test a 4-second 480P text-to-video clip took about 2.5 minutes. If a generation fails, its credits are refunded.
