MiniMax H3 (Hailuo 3) is MiniMax's AI video model with built-in audio, launched on July 31, 2026. MiniMax's API, fal.ai, Replicate and Kensa all bill it per second of video, so the price of a clip is the per-second rate times its length.

What you pay depends on the tier and on how you reach the model. On Kensa, 480P and 768P run on H3-Max, the faster H3 variant MiniMax released with fal.ai, and 2K runs on the full H3 model. You can reach H3 through MiniMax's API, a developer playground (fal.ai, Replicate), MiniMax's own Hailuo AI app or a multi-model web app such as Kensa. The tables below put list prices checked on October 4, 2026 next to Kensa's credits.

MiniMax H3 price on every platform

MiniMax's API, Replicate and fal.ai's H3 Max all list $0.08 per second at 768P; fal's own Turbo variant lists half that, and Kensa comes out at about the same price per clip as the API, without an API key.

How MiniMax H3 pricing works

Kensa bills MiniMax H3 per second and rounds each clip up to a whole credit: 1.5 credits per second at 480P, 2.5 at 768P and 4 at 2K, so a 5-second 480P clip is 8 credits (1.5 × 5, rounded up). Audio is always on and included; there is no toggle and no surcharge. 2K needs a paid plan (from $9.90 a month); 480P and 768P work on any account. Credits are shared with Veo 3.1, Seedance 2.0, Seedance 1.5 Pro and Grok Image Video, and come back automatically if a generation fails.

What you get on Kensa

The credit cost is shown before you generate, and reserved credits come back automatically if a generation fails.
No API key, no MiniMax account and no code: pick a tier, then write a prompt or upload one image.
A 480P draft tier (8 credits for 5 seconds) and 2K (2560×1440) in the same picker.
One credit balance for MiniMax H3, Veo 3.1, Seedance 2.0, Seedance 1.5 Pro and Grok Image Video.

When Kensa isn't the best fit

Pick another route if you write code, need many free clips or want MiniMax's full set of inputs.

  • If you can write code, fal.ai's H3 Max Turbo ($0.04 per second at 768P, a fal-only variant) is the lowest list price we found.
  • fal.ai's 5 free H3 Max generations a day beat Kensa's single free clip.
  • Hailuo AI, MiniMax's own app, sells H3 on subscriptions that can work out cheaper per second than Kensa, especially at 2K and on yearly billing.
  • Kensa offers 16:9, 9:16 and 1:1 only, and one first-frame image: no last frame, no reference images and no video input, all of which MiniMax's own API supports.
  • One-time packs cost more per clip: on the Starter pack a 6-second 768P clip works out at $0.80, against $0.48 on MiniMax's API.
  • Only Google sign-ups get the 15 free credits (email sign-ups get none).
