Unboxing Video Template

The Unboxing Video Template turns a photo of your closed box or packaging into a vertical 8-second reveal: the lid lifts open on its own, tissue paper parts and soft light spills out as the camera slowly pushes in. The box comes from your photo; describe the product in the prompt, or the model invents what's inside. It runs on Veo 3.1 in 9:16 with sound and costs 13 credits (about $0.69). Use it for launch teasers, packaging showcases and gift-box posts.

Which photo works best?

Use a photo of the closed box on a plain surface, shot from slightly above so the lid and one side both show, with the whole box in frame. A visible lid edge or seam helps the model see where the box opens. Keep hands and people out of the photo: the video models reject photos of real people.

How do I use the Unboxing Video Template?

  1. 1

    Open the template

Click “Use this template”. The image-to-video page opens with the unboxing prompt, model, length and vertical aspect ratio already set.

  2. 2

Upload a photo of the closed box

Add one clear photo of your box or packaging with the lid closed. The video starts from this photo, so the box's design, colors and printing come from it.

  3. 3

    Say what's inside

In the prompt, replace “the product resting inside” with a short description of your product, such as “a white ceramic mug wrapped in kraft paper”. Without it, the model makes up the contents.

  4. 4

    Generate and check the reveal

Generate the clip and check both the box and what comes out of it. If the contents look off, make the description more specific and generate again, then download the MP4.

How can I make it my own?

  • Match the opening to your packaging: write “the drawer slides out” for a sleeve box or “the flaps fold open” for a mailer box instead of “the lid slowly lifts open”.
  • Describe the filling your customers really find, such as black tissue, kraft paper or crinkle-paper shred, so the reveal matches the real box.
  • Keep the desk plain. A bare wooden or marble surface keeps attention on the box; a busy desk competes with the reveal.
  • For a launch teaser, keep the contents vague on purpose (“a soft glow from inside”) and show the real product in your next post.

What prompt does this template use?

This is the prompt filled into the generator. Edit it freely before you generate.

The closed box from the photo sits on a tidy, softly lit desk. Its lid slowly lifts open on its own, the tissue paper inside parts, and warm light spills out to reveal the product resting inside. The camera makes one slow push-in toward the box. Keep the product packaging's shape, colors and label exactly as in the photo. Calm, premium unboxing mood. Do not add any text or logos. No people.

Frequently asked questions

Will the video show my real product inside the box?

Only as well as you describe it. The model sees just the closed box in your photo, so it draws the contents from your prompt. A specific description (shape, color, material) gets close, but the result is the model's version of your product, not a photo of it. If buyers need to see the exact item, use the Product Video Template with a photo of the product.

Can I start from a photo of the open box with the product in it?

You can, but then there is nothing left to reveal: the clip starts with the product already showing. For a real unboxing moment, start from the closed box and describe what's inside.

My box has a magnetic flap or a sliding drawer. Will it open the right way?

Not always. Without directions the model tends to lift the lid straight up. Say how your box opens in the prompt and regenerate if it opens the wrong way. Packaging with ribbons or several layers is harder to get right in 8 seconds.

Does the unboxing clip have sound?

Yes. Veo 3.1 adds sound that fits the scene, such as rustling paper or the lid opening, and it varies from clip to clip. Keep it, or mute it and add your own music or voiceover in your editor or the app where you post.
