Skateboarding Dog Video Template
The Skateboarding Dog Video Template turns one photo of your dog into a vertical 8-second clip of it riding a skateboard down a sunny seaside boardwalk, ears flapping in the breeze, while the camera tracks alongside. Upload a clear photo of your dog on its own; the clip keeps the fur color, markings and face from your photo. It runs on Veo 3.1 in 9:16 with sound and costs 13 credits (about $0.69). Post it on TikTok, Reels or Shorts.

Input photo
Which photo works best?
Use a sharp, well-lit photo of your dog on its own, with its whole body in frame from nose to tail, ideally standing or sitting rather than lying down. Leave yourself and anyone else out of the photo: the video models reject photos of real people.
How do I use the Skateboarding Dog Video Template?
- 1
Open the template
Click “Use this template”. The image-to-video page opens with the skateboarding prompt, Veo 3.1, the length and the vertical aspect ratio already filled in.
- 2
Upload a photo of your dog
Add one photo of your dog alone. The clip starts from this photo, so the fur, markings and face come from it.
- 3
Change where it rides (optional)
Swap the seaside boardwalk for “a skate park”, “a quiet tree-lined street in autumn” or “an empty city plaza at sunset”. Keep the sentence that keeps your dog's fur, markings and face as in the photo.
- 4
Generate, check and download
Generate the clip, check that the paws stay on the board and your dog still looks like your dog, then download the MP4.
How can I make it my own?
- If your photo was taken indoors, the model has to move your dog outside; a photo taken outdoors in daylight tends to blend in more naturally.
- Add one prop, such as “wearing small sunglasses” or “a red bandana”, for a beach look. Stick to one so it doesn't cover your dog's face.
- Small and medium dogs look most natural on a standard board; for a big dog, try “a long cruiser skateboard” in the prompt.
- Want your dog pushing off with one paw? Add it to the prompt, but expect more tries: legs moving on a rolling board are where the model slips up most.
What prompt does this template use?
This is the prompt filled into the generator. Edit it freely before you generate.
The dog from the photo rides a skateboard down a quiet, empty seaside boardwalk on a sunny day, standing steadily on the board with all four paws as it rolls forward. Its ears flap in the breeze, the sea sparkles beside the boardwalk and palm trees slide past in the background. Smooth tracking shot that moves alongside the dog at its eye level. Keep the dog's fur color, markings and face exactly as in the photo, and keep its body natural, with four legs and one tail. Bright, warm afternoon sunlight. Do not add any text or logos. No people.
Frequently asked questions
My dog can't actually skateboard. Does that matter?
No. The skating is generated; your dog only needs to be in the photo. The board, the motion and the boardwalk all come from the prompt.
Why are the paws floating, or why did the markings change?
Paws on a moving board are hard for video models: feet can hover above the deck or sink into it, and the board can change shape. With this much motion, markings can also soften and the face can shift. It varies from clip to clip, so regenerate if something looks off; each try costs 13 credits.
Is the boardwalk a real place?
No. The boardwalk, the sea and the palm trees are generated and don't show any real location. To make it look more like your local beach, describe it in the prompt, for example “a wooden pier over grey pebbles”.
Does it work with cats?
The prompt is written for dogs. You can change “dog” to “cat” in the prompt and try, but results are less predictable, so expect to regenerate.
